As I tried to explain it to my son – just over half of the voters want the rest of the voters to pay for their food, clothing, housing, education, entertainment, health-care, and artistic expression (sounds like Occupy, doesn’t it?). As long as that’s the ratio then democracy fails – unless a strong constitution protects the minority from the majority mob. It hit me late last night. The 49.x % that won it for Obama do not really care if the economy is bad. It is always bad for them. Always will be. Government is just a way to help cope and get free stuff. Makes sense to me now.
Let sequestration happen.. let it crash. See how the 49% that think uncle sugar will always be there feel when he’s not.
Unfortunately for America the scale has tipped for the people who want to free load off the rest of us.
You are absolutely right. All too many people don’t care about a bad economy. They have given up on success. They just want the government to ensure their miserable basis needs and they are satisfied. Just like a bunch of animals. Add to that that they want to see people who are better off punished and brought down. It’s all rather primal and ugly.
It's NOT the economy. Jobs don't mean anything anymore. Half the country DOESN'T WANT A JOB. With the huge influx of freeloaders into our country from sewers all over the world, the "new norm" has become, "WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?! I WANT FREE STUFF!" The 'RATS will give them free stuff in exchange for keeping them in power.
I think what shocks me more than anything else is that my state sent Allen West home and sent Alan Grayson back to Washington.
This is the zombie apocalypse, we are in it right now.
Kinda like when Daddy comes home and says through tears to his wide eyed kids - “I know I promised you a new puppy (sparkly dress, Disney trip, etc.) for your birthday but... we can’t afford it right now, things are bad at work” Then the adorable kid says “I HATE YOU!”.
and my state actually voted FOR a tax increase.

I have never felt so let down by this country. I weep for our founders, because their dream is dead.
America is a racist country.. If race didn’t matter, then this guy would have been voted out.. but race does matter. Point in fact MLK’s dream is dead, as well.
Every four years they are going to trot out a Hispanic or a black candidate and they will win be handing out goodies.
It's gonna hurt a lot! I think conservatives have to
1) protect themselves as much as possible from all the power grabbing and resource-grabbing (government-sanctioned STEALING)
2) keep trying to educate the liberals among us
3) try to survive in the hope now growing faint that we can have one more election where the scales tip back. Yeah, long shot.

and it will get uglier real fast. The fiscal cliff is close at hand, and our economy will not recover. China will come calling for its payments and our money is worth nothing. Russia will get ever closer with her subs along our coast and our weakened military will be unable to adequately respond. Iran will continue to develop its missiles and work with Syria & Egypt to bring us down. Look for Israel to act soon cuz she knows we’re no longer gonna help her. Look for banks to have a “holiday” and then those of us who depend on government pensions or checks will be w/o funds. Look for more small businesses to close. Look for everything to get more expensive: gas, propane, food, medicine, clothing. Look for those who are able to leave this country to do so posthaste.
Hunker in the bunker will become the norm...
The question I am asking myself is do I want to keep working so hard trying to keep it all together? How many of you feel that you outwork your democrat country men? Now they are climbing on your back and shouting “Forward”! Will all the “angry white men” just keep plugging away under this system? Democrats are betting that you will. I am betting maybe we are weary.
Actually their economies can get a lot worse and they lack the skills to turn it around for themselves. Personally, I will adapt to less and find happiness through my children and family. But when the Chinese and Japanese call in their loans they will not be sympathetic enough to allow them to keep their Obama phones and energy price assistance.
This system will completely crash and chaos will result. If the rest of us choose to continue to live be locked and loaded. It will not be pretty and blood will flow. The children of America will have nowhere to turn if their parents are unprepared.
Unfortunately, this time there will be no one left to offer a sanctuary of liberty and freedom that will save them.

we simply will not be able to send all the kids to ballerina camp. Eventually this whole charade comes crashing down due to simple math. See Greece. See the United Kingdom before Thatcher. The demographics do not matter. GOTV does not matter. Giving illegals free voter registrations will not matter. There is not enough money for it. We will have to cancel the nation’s “cable”. Period. Kids will stamp their feet and cry “unfair”. Then when some grow up they will start businesses. Selling resewn clothes. Enchiladas. Farm picked food. ‘Shine. We will come back. Slowly. But it did have to happen this way.

I think there is one operative sentence from Mitt Romney that sums up everything.
“If you want free stuff, vote for the other guy”.
And they did.
The message of no new taxes, reducing spending, etc. only resonated with those who do pay taxes and understand spending needs to stop/slow (buy the groceries)....the other voters understood that with no new taxes and spending reduction, that would effect them.(their taste buds and stomach)
This country has a higher “consumption” population than ever before, whether by design, laziness or forced to “Feed” because of this economy...the welfare state has exploded...it’s a created majority voter base - the table is large.
Those that are feeding off this country won the vote to not just request... but dictate what’s for dinner from those who are making dinner....they did not pay for the food...and they will not help with the dishes....
So, how long will you keep cooking for them?
