I posted this on another thread, but it seemed worthy of it's own thread, at least in my selfish mind...
You won't have the choice of quitting. 0bama will be sending all jobs to his mentors in china. But hey, at least you can take part in his Food Stamp program.
we tried it, gop doesnt listen. and they still arent, boner wants to work with the administration now
Good post! Fix stuff—Volt / Ohm meters are so cheap (Digital for less than $20) get one and easily learn to use it.... check if a light bulb is bad...is that outlet bad or is the power off...Its not hard to do...see link...

If you have a ping List, I would like to be on it.
Also consider multi-generational living. I am not talking about giving a spare BR downstairs to the mother-in-law but a true convergence of families with the home geared for that (two laundry rooms, two dishwashers, food planning, fewer cars, etc)
I am stopping all charitable giving. I am going to choose to stop enabling people. Let them face the responsibility of their actions. It is the most loving thing to do.
Maintain your stuff is the best advice. Liberals are spoiled and needy. They always want the newest iphone. DON'T be like them!
Don't go to movies, don't buy crap you don't need. I am cutting myself off as much as possible in all ways. Stop going to subways, pack a lunch. Stop using websites like facebook--the ad money generated by YOUR use of such sites goes directly into democrat campaign and slush-fund coffers! Hell, stop using the vending machine!
GO GALT!

What you’re saying is that you have been training for the next four years.
That is a good thing. Congratulations.
America (and the West in general) are going to have a really bad two years before the new fracking revenues kick in. Wise people like you already have a deep larder and a habit of self-sufficiency.
#13. Move to a state that has no state income tax and lowest sales/property tax you can find.
We’d love to use the Library - however @ $80 to obtain a Card - that had to go by the wayside.
Please let me share what I posted on another thread:
There IS a bright side to this election. The numbers show that there is a razor thin difference in voting America. The country is divided in less than 50% for Obama & less then 50% who voted against him.
Obama has no real mandate & it's our duty to make sure that our side does what is necessary to turn this around. We need to stop tuning in to the left media propaganda machine to bring their viewership & sponsors down. The same with newspapers, magazines & anything else supporting the left. Alumni need to check what the colleges are teaching & withold any contributions to them if they are left-oriented.
The storm Sandy is going to put on display the failure of liberals & how they handle a catasrophe. They can't parade Obama out for a photo-op & get away with it any more. People are desperate & crying for help & Fema had no pre-planning in place & actually had to buy water from distributors. That's how bad it is. There are so many things going wrong & it's going to put Obama on the spot about how he handles things. In my way of thinking he has no clue about what to do. Another storm is moving in to make matters worse.
So the other narrow nearly half of the country who voted for him are going to have to live with the results. It's going to be interesting to see how the media handles trying to cover this one up!!
“Show yourself as a contrast to Obama at every opportunity, and re-define Republicans as a logical alternative to the globalist nonsense.”
You can’t compete with “Obama Money!” Free money trumps ethics and anything else. The Democrats have been vote buying for decades and the tipping point has been reached. There are now more people getting money from the government than not.
Only the firearms that weren’t lost in that tragic boating accident...
Thrift stores +++ if its something you don’t often use, look at a thrift store. And here’s a tip-— most stock their shelves right before they open, so go by there before work...
Be prepared. When others are begging for the gubbermint to ship them in clean underwear, have a plan to provide for yourself.
I still believe war is coming. Iran’s nuke may be the tipping point. This isn’t a thread about prepping, though, per se, it’s about starving the beast. Your prepping steps will help during the death throes of the beast.
That is how I live already especially the charitable giving, I give to people I know. I drive used cars, I buy stuff at auctions.
Sorry Cringe, I don’t think that strategy will pay off in time. With $20T in debt looming (after another Obama term), a financial meltdown is simply “in the cards.”
We can rail against it and prolong the pain, or we can Go Galt and show the country the error of their ways, thus leading to a brighter future at a faster pace.
It’s the difference between peeling a band aid off slowly or tearing it off quick. I say “starve the beast so it dies fast - tear it off quick.”
Every library card I’ve ever had was free.
#13 - use cash for as many purchases as you can so Big Brother doesn’t know what you’re buying. If you can’t use cash, go back to writing checks. Anything to cut back on putting more of yourself on the internet.
One thing I plan on doing:
No charitable giving to anything associated with a blue state. Those states whose population substitutes a “v” for the “d” in the national motto are not worth my money given voluntarily. They will get enough taken involuntarily through taxes. If they wish to trust in gov, then let them look to the government for disaster relief, not private charity. I won’t stop giving, but what money I have that goes to charity will go to the needy in the red states.
This morning, I purchased a 2000 gallon fuel tank, to be delivered tomorrow. We live on 28 acres and our car, truck and both tractors are all diesel. We will be buying our fuel in bulk now at a cheaper price, and be able to buy when/while the price is down and run for months at a time. We will also be in a good position in case of rationing or interruption in supply.
