Like the Rolling Stones, James Bond movies turn 50 this year, and you cant blame either for playing their hits. What more do you want from Start Me Up? Violins? A hip-hop beat?
But like the Stones, 007 is showing his wrinkles, and in the utterly routine effort Skyfall, were actually expected to cheer each chord weve heard so many times (heres a martini shaker! Look, its a Walther PPK! And theres an Aston Martin!) Weve been turned into wretched Pavlovian dogs, salivating at the bell instead of the snack. The highlight, by far, is a classic animated credit sequence: Adele, you are the new Shirley Bassey

I read the Bond books decades ago and unless they find the Fountain of Youth I think my James Bond days are just about over, lol. Men may like him more though.
A different opinion.

“We thought America would last forever. We took her for granted.”
The autopsy will show that this nation committed suicide.
He’s married to Rachel Weisz.
RACHEL WEISZ.

If you want to google something, google “Rachel Weisz” and then get back to me.
disappointing.... I saw it
I like Craig because he doe a lot of his own stunts and comes across as ruthless. Needed to have a license to kill.
But he certainly doesn’t convey the class of Connery or Moore or the twinkle in the eye of Brosnon. I remember scenes in the books in which Bond would order in a fancy restaurant. He wouldn’t have a beer in bed, just Champaign.
I thought this movie was interesting because the plot was a little different. The internal knowledge of the villain and his past with M made it different.
I’m a Dench, Bardem, Finney and Craig fan.
My pick for Bond a few ears ago would have been Clive Owen. Given the way things are going Miley Ray Cyrus will be the next Bond.
Craig has two more.
PS: The director paid a nice homage to past Bond films in several scenes. May be worth the price of a ticket to Bond fans.
Sean Connery was the best and authentic BOND. I used to work special delivery in Hollywood and had a package for his production company on Melrose. He came up to the desk as I was having it signed for. I didn’t say anything to him, should have....but he seemed like a nice man.
Pass.
The movie started with a great action scene. The theme music was a good fit for the movie. The first half was very good with lots of action. The second half started to drag so much I was tempted to walk out
The production values, the exotic locations, the cinematography were very good same as other Bond films. It had wit and black humor. Maybe I am wrong about the second half and others liked it
The twitter on this movie is the gay scene.>>>>>
It was stupid but only lasted 60 seconds. All clothing was kept on and no real contact.
that’s not true, please read Debbie schussel’s review.
I have the soundtrack, I got it from itunes with the bonus track.
So? I didn't expect it to be full on gay porn. I just don't feel it necessary to oblige the pervert who wrote the stupid scene in the movie.
I watch a movie to be entertained not made to feel uncomfortable.
