What we definitely lose is a chance to replace Ginsburg and Breyer, and thus finally get the conservative majority Reagan and Bush I failed to deliver. Obama will now easily replace both of them with justices every bit as left wing, or even more so.

If we’re lucky, Scalia and Kennedy will remain healthy and stick it out for at least four more years. But even if they do, I’m not convinced we have much chance in 2016 either. I mean, the country just reelected a terrible president. So what if things are as bad or worse in 4 years? It obviously doesn’t matter. The electorate will likely be less than 70% white in 2016. So what chance do we have then?

At most we can hope to maintain the status quo, and hope that Roberts and Kennedy don’t stray on the big issues. But I think we can kiss goodbye any hope of ever getting a conservative Supreme Court. That dream is dead.

I’m not sure Breyer leaves. By 2016, we’ll have 12%+ unemployment and people will be begging for the GOP.

And 60% won't be paying any Federal Taxes - and 75% will be reliant on government handouts in some form or another. The voting block will be totally secured by then...
