Just back from my Fairfied County, CT polling place. Voted at 5 PM, at that point, turnout was 75%! That smashes the record for our town. In 2008, our town went 2:1 for McCain. Good sign for Linda McMahon for Senate and Steve Obsitnik for Congress.
Great news!
Where are you? Stamford here.....
New Canaan
Milford’s Harborside Middle school is my spot right smack downtown, behind the courthouse. My wife and I both went before work, her morning turnout 7:30 AM was a steady stream with no long lines, my visit at 8:30 was a 10 minute wait in the longest line. It looked a lot like 2008, honestly. I’d say 70% turnout. We’ll see ... off to a man cave at the Marina with like minded folks, roast beef, cigars & cards ... predicting a good night.
Norwalk, here. Blue city but my polling place in the north part of town was very quiet during the normal morning rush.
I’m in Enfield. Voted at 10:45. Busy turnout. Had to only wait only 10 minutes because they had 20 booths set up. About 15 poll workers I predict my town will win Romney by 500 votes on 19,000 turnout. McMahon will be a toss up.
Not likely McMahon can pull it out. Too many morons in the state.
I’m in Tolland County. Voted around 1 PM, they had police directing traffic/parking. Waited inside in line for about 10 minutes. About 3K cast at that time, in 08 just over 5K cast.
My daughter is working in the McMahon campaign. She goes door to door. She reported to work today at 7AM. I have a Linda sign in my yard.
Good for her. I hope I am wrong on this race. I have lived in Florida for the past 40 years, but grew up about a quarter mile from the WWF headquarters.
