Election Spreadsheet (Vanity)
Posted on 11/06/2012 9:52:13 AM PST by camerongood210
Sorry for the vanity post. I have put together an election spreadsheet and figured I would share it with you wonderful folks. It's a Google spreadsheet, so I'm not really sure what the best way to do this would be.
TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Hobbies
KEYWORDS: election; spreadsheet
Any thoughts on the best way to share this? I could add you as a collaborator to the document if given your Google account username, I suppose.

Yeah, what could go wrong?
FR needs more inane Election Day vanities like NYC needs another wind/rain storm.

There is a way to share it with the public and set it read only. Not sure how, but I would google it.

All I get is a two cell "spreadsheet" with Romney & Obama EC totals. If so, what's the point?
Here's a link with an interactive EC map that let's the viewer change (by mouse click toggling) who wins the state - as it keeps a total:

I link w/o loading anything but empty cells to row 100 - w/ no tabs. But even with tabs, “what’s the point?” Check out my corrected link on post-9 for something truly interactive.

That spreadsheet is essentially the same as the map you link to. In another tab, it has the states broken down by poll closing time. Tell it who won a certain state and it calculates the EC votes to that point. Sorry to have wasted everyone’s time.
