You mean like Alcee Hastings who was impeached as a federal judge and then elected to Congress?

The Congress only removed Hastings from office. They, for whatever reason, chose not to disqualify him for other offices. But they could have.

The Senate did not bar Hastings from future service. It’s discretionary.
