Your relatives in NJ need more prayer than I. Here on the North Shore of Long Island took one heck of a whack....but NJ, my goodness!

Today was the 1st day I got to see any of the outside world since 3:30 pm Monday. May God Bless EVERYONE in NJ. Looks like the whore of babylon sandy took out most of that state.

I’m here in NJ. Glad to hear that you are ok! Lots of people in NJ don’t have power and there are huge lines at gas stations for gas for their generators. My phone & power came on the middle of last nite so I consider myself very blessed. However, I have family down the shore area and Long Beach Island and I don’t know if that house is still standing. Everyone had to evacuate and it will be at least a couple days before they let people back on to LBI. The shoreline area took a huge hit.

The last contact I had with my cousin was yesterday morning at 9:00. She was without power and had been in contact with all but 1 of the family but wasn't too concerned because they're further inland. Trees were down making roads impassable and sump pumps weren't working so the basements were filling up. Other than that, they're okay - Thank God!

It's sad to see the pictures of the shore. My summers were spent in Seaside Heights on the boardwalk and beach and they're wrecked now. Our old shore house is most certainly flooded. It was on Barnegat Bay. I feel so sad for all those who lost family and homes. :(
