Good news for Romney. I am not sure how much endorsements from papers mean anymore since they are pretty archaic. Big City papers like NY Times, WaPO, LA Times, dont carry much weight due to their major subscribers. But in a state like Iowa, in a close election, and flipping from Obama to Romney is significant. It will cause a lot of local talk across Iowa this next week. Which probably will help Romney in this case.
(and by the way, Romney WILL win OH)
I saw this coming after their “Happy Warrior vs. Skeletor” front page a few days ago. Love it.
Wow.
Enough to push Iowa to Romney.
Which assures Romney of at least a tie. Which the House would turn to a win.
Holy Crap!
What’s next, Pravda?
wow. The drip is turning into a stream..
Bam Bam and Moochelle should buy a retirement home in Benghazi. In fact, they could renovate the embassy. What do you think? He could retire among his friends, the rebels and enjoy the Arab Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall.
I’m technologically challenged, but didn’t they run a not -so-flattering side by side of Barry with Romney on the front page the other day?( That’s when I thought Romney’s getting their endorsement). Everyone kept telling me “No way”. Can somebody post that pic for me. :) Thanks!
Excellent point, for sure, but I’m skeptical that the Register is going to regain a semblance of sanity.
Answered prayers. . . .
I almost fell over when the local newspaper here in the South Bay of So. Cal endorsed Romney recently. The Daily Breeze. All the props they endorsed and several other local candidates were mostly Rat infested or lib oriented. I was very surprised.
But the LA Slimes fell in lib lock step as usual.
HUH??? WHAAAAT TF???
I’m stuned
this is as BIG as newspaper endorsements go. I think the Register really is the “paper of record” for Iowa. All the drama that led up to the endorsement, with Barry trying to “cover up” his own interview(LOL) gave this big coverage in Iowa and nationwide. Plus of course Iowa is a swing state.
The on-line article was posted 7:00pm Saturday, so it would be the Sunday edition.

I agree that this is big.
Having lived in Iowa for some time I can attest that the Des Moines Register is one of those few city papers that is distributed state-wide and viewed as a state-wide publication.
Really shocking...
It's OK to abandon Obama.
