BooYah!
The Giants have great chemistry - something that cannot be bought.
Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval are the only position players on the roster from the 2010 World Series Championship team, and Sandoval wasn’t on the active roster during the 2010 playoffs.
Aubrey Huff was also on both teams, but has played very little in 2012
The Giants GM, Brian Sabean, has a knack for finding players like 37 year old Journeyman Marco Scutaro (and NLCS MVP) who did nothing but hit the snot out of the ball since being traded to SF this summer.
No big salaries, (other than the pitching staff) no big egos.
It seems that everyone is just having a good time, fans and players and it creates great chemistry which equals wins.
It will be tough to beat Justin Verlander, but all the experts said the Giants wouldn’t beat Cliff Lee once, let alone twice in 2010.
The Tigers definitely have the advantage, but that’s why they play the games - no one thought the Giants would come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the defending World Series Champions, especially with Barry Zito (Who wasn’t on the active roster for the 2010 playoffs) pitching Game 5 in St. Louis, but they did, and it was back to SF for the final two games.
