Can we let the poor thing be happy w/her illusions/delusions?
There have been documented cases of children being raised by wild animals, including other types of monkeys, but they’ve always been corroborated by some form of official or scientific paper trail after they’ve been brought out of the wild. For someone to just say “this happened to me 57 years ago” with the only flimsy corroboration coming from family members who cite odd behaviors is simply not enough. On top of that, for the simultaneous, breathtaking coincidence that she has a television and book deal inked is just more than what thoughtful people should be asked to believe.
I’ve looked over several articles on this and NONE of them cite police, medical, or other Governmental documentation of this matter. This is not alleged to have occurred in 1850; this supposedly happened around 57 years ago when even in third-world countries they still had a basic semblance of documenting such things.
My suspicion is that she does indeed believe this as you say and it may possibly be her psychological defense mechanism for dealing with mental trauma....such as being sold into prostitution at a very young age. It may be that there’s a part of her life that she needed to ‘erase’ in order to remain sane, and this ‘raised by monkeys’ construct has taken it’s place. Just a guess of course, and only one possibility among many.
