This is the season of politics and I follow things closely. You probably know what I mean. I am reading Drudge and FR constantly. I know the times when Rasmussen and Gallup polls come out and I press refresh for the results. But I make a point of doing regular things and living life.
This post is about what to do to keep things regular and normal. So what are you doing tomorrow to keep things normal?
In the morning, i am going to do a little reloading and then I am going shooting with my daughter, her friend and her friend's father. I am looking forward to this because you can never have too many outdoors friends. This will be the first time we go shooting together even though we belong to the same club.
In the afternoon, I am going to smoke some ribs and I will watch Penn State football in the evening. (I will also watch football throughout the day while smoking, but that can be interrupted. PSU football cannot)
After 14 days of straight work 10/12 hour days I am going to do absolutely nothing...I might even stay in my bunnie slippers all day. Read, watch a movie and freep of course, but not much else.
Running a meeting at the local VA hospital, (www.kpva.org) then helping with a bingo game for the veteran residents, then attending the home opener for the Hershey Bears hockey team (AHL).
Watching PSU get whooped by the Hawkeyes.
Yes they do. They don't often win games this late in the season because everyone is studying. I got a Skype with the football score and the physics test score ... the latter was 97% ... I won't give away the former.
The election is two weeks away.
I will be distributing door hangers for Republican Candidates.
But 97% in physics? WHOOHOO! That, I care about.
Yeah, some cooks are weird that way.
Pass on my congrats for that, please.

Pheasant hunting near Red Field, SD and cruising Drudge and FR on my Iphone after we limit out at 1:00pm.
Dog park and get the November 19 WWII thread ready to go.
“well that escalated quickly..”
BWhahahaha - LOL!
That struck me as hilarious - I love understatement and this is a great thread!
By the way - not to speak for Conservative, but the smoking he is doing is the barbecue, unless I totally got it wrong, which is possible. (I don’t mind smoke though - it just doesn’t bother me.)
I am not doing anything exciting today - driving daughter to musical theater master dance class this afternoon - then she is making a “movie traler” with her friends as an assignment for English on Oedipus - it will be a spoof and already sounds hilarious with Jocasta hurling baby Oedipus towards our moat with a volleyball serve.. ( youngest daughter is freshman in high school and she is talented at acting and improv)
Tomorrow - driving about an hour to the Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville for the Kateri Canonization.
Go Gamecocks!!!!
As for the negative comments about Penn State, that simply shows ignorance and I consider it an unprovoked personal attack. The intention of my thread was completely positive and to be a minor diversion from the intense politics of this season. It wasn't meant to be a forum to insult 100’s of thousands of Penn State alumni.
It just goes to show that there are jerks everywhere, including on FR.
44 - 11...you were saying?
Since my mom is allergic to beef, I have to make chili with either bison or venison. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck thus far and Bambi is still scampering about the forest, so I stopped at Kroger and picked up a couple pounds of ground bison on my way home.
We moved today. To a small beach town in Los Angeles county where it is supposed to be chock a block liberals. Well, there are three Romney signs (ok, one is ours) on our short block alone. No Obama ones. Pretty cool.
This is not normal. Stressful moving day. Not normal! But it will be fun watching the debate on our new big screen on the wall tomorrow, even if some of us are sitting on boxes.
