How to Stockpile Antibiotics for Long Term Survival
Daily Survival ^ | 10/19/12 | The Survival Woman

A month or so ago, I happened to mention that I had purchased some antibiotics to stockpile for long term survival purposes. It’s not, you know, that I believe in popping antibiotics every time I get a sniffle. Nothing could be further from the truth. But a recent situation where I had a very bad tooth abscess that had to go untreated for almost a week convinced me that antibiotics for use in a collapse situation were an important part of my preps. Let me say this: I am not a health care professional nor am I especially qualified on all things health related. On the other hand, I do believe in medical self-care and I do believe in doing my own research. It was during that research that I learned that fish antibiotics are the exact same formula as human antibiotics. WTF? This was not casual research. I went to many sources, looked at bottles, and asked a lot of questions. I came away confident that lacking proper medical facilities, the judicious use of fish and veterinary antibiotics would be safe in a SHTF situation. And the best part about it? They are readily available online at reasonable prices without a prescription.

Erythromycin, clarithromycin and azithromycin are commonly given to people when penecillin allergies. You can also use cephalosporins (Cipro).

The title is a bit misleading. At least to me. I was looking for info on how long these anti-Bs can be stored long term and how best to store them.

Though the article at the link has much good info on usage, what I was seeking is lacking. Anyone have definitive info on how long this stuff lasts in proper storage conditions?

Yeah, as far as I know, proper storage will greatly extend the life of all “natural” anti-biotics. Doxycycline is the one exception to the rule. But a good rule to know!

A half a cup a few times a day until you feel better, not forever. I and others I know have taken plenty of homemade silver colloidal over years, not made with anything but 99.999% per silver and distilled water, and have not turned blue. Don't believe everything they tell you. Medicine in this country still uses silver for any number of treatments such as for burns and wounds. They just don't want you to use it instead of expensive medicine, which almost always has many bad side effects, including deadly allergic reactions for some people, growing immunity to drugs and a need for increasingly stronger does and varieties of drugs, and the death of healthy microorganisms that are suppose to be in the human body and aid it in many important ways. Of course awful side effects are perfectly acceptable to most, as long as they are brought to you by the American medical system.

.....When it is pointed out that colloidal and nano-silver are used by NASA, Potters for Peace, the Hong Kong Subway System, Cure-Aid, and major hospital burn units, the detractors often concede that perhaps it works externally; however, they maintain that when it is taken internally it causes dangerous toxicity due to silver build-up. In a familiar refrain when it comes to silver and other alternatives to mainstream drugs, it is also claimed that colloidal silver taken internally has no "scientifically" proven benefits. One of the most widely publicized warnings is that colloidal silver causes people to turn blue due to a skin condition known as argyria.

Yet, the EPA says that 90-95% of ingested silver particles are eliminated from the body within two days and 99% are gone within a week (1). Furthermore, the bluest of the blue people, "Papa Smurf" Paul Karason was given a clean bill of health at Mount Sinai Hospital. (2) Karason, like the Montana senator who has bluish skin, did not actually take colloidal silver. Instead, he took large quantities of home-made ionic silver made with tap water and contaminated with salt for a prolonged period of time.

When it comes to scientific studies regarding the benefits of internal silver, last year it was reported that researchers in Hungary found specific silver receptors on human tissue - an indication that silver plays an important role in human health. (3) A joint study between the University of Texas and Mexico University published in the Journal of Nanotechnology showed that silver nano-particles of sizes 1-10nm attached to HIV-1 prevented the virus from bonding to host cells..... __________

Is there a (veterinary) equivalent for SHTF? I know about FishMox, but is that safe for those allergic to penicillin?

Thank you for the info on the silver. I take a little bit daily. I’d like to start making it myself but feel aprehensive, i.e. scared to screw it up and poison myself.

My late mother swore by salt for all mouth problems.

I continued that treatment with my own family.

My grandaughter just had cankers and swished the salt water around her mouth and they went away in a day.

Sometimes the old treatments are the best.

It is not hard to make. I use a wide mouth glass container with a bit of an overlap on the edge. I have a 6 volt AC adapter from Radio Shack. I cut the end off and separate the one wire into two wires and strip each one down an inch. Then I attach an alligator clip on each wire. I have bought two Canadian Maple leaf silver coins as they are .999% pure silver. I attach the coins unto the clips. I then tape the wires to the outside of the bowl, so that the coins do not touch, to hang over the edge of the lip and into the bowl stopping near the top. Since the bowl has the overlap the coins don't touch the glass. I also use a cheap fish water bubbler and put the glass end of a dropper on the end of the plastic tube, because I don't want plastic in the silver water, and place the tube in the bowl as far to the other side of the coins as possible, so the bubbles from the air don't ride up the coins too much, securing it in place with tape (I am careful that no tape is going to contact the water). I fill the bowl up with distilled water until it comes up part way on both coins. I then put plastic over the top and plug the adapter and bubbler into the wall and let them "work" for about six hours. I then have a good quart of silver colloidal. If there is any solid silver that goes to the bottom, you know that you have either worked it too long, or something got into the water that caused the silver to come together rather than be in colloidal form. The bubbler seems to keep the silver particles at a premium nano particle size. I pour the water into a brown or green glass bottle for storage so as to protect it from light.

This seems like a bit of trouble and some expense at first, but you will be able to make quarts and quarts and quarts of silver colloidal for pennies. It can cost a fortune to keep buying. It really isn't too complicated or hard if you follow my directions carefully. The site at the top has various ways and hints at making a machine, some that may be better than mine. I know that the silver water really can make one better or at least really help one to be improved from any number of diseases and also help one not to pick up sickness as easily, if a little is taken daily. It also can work wonders for pets, and really does birds well. It is priceless to have one if survival without medication becomes a necessity. Praise The LORD and God bless!
