Bob Schieffer. Not great, but more professional than Crowley.

It’s going to be Bob Schieffer

I agree, there has been a complete bias toward left-leaning moderators who have dutifully carried water for the left agenda. Kudos to Romney who has methodically turned this bias to his advantage.

The trend we are seeing now in a shift in the polls toward Romney will only be more pronounced after this last debate next Monday.

I wish it could be Sissy Chrissy Matthews. Old Tingles would be talking so fast and slinging so much spit Obamalamadingdong would need a raincoat and a snorkle to get out of there without looking like a drowned Rat.

Oh, wait ...

It’s Bob Schieffer. And I think he’s worse than Candy Crowley.

Romney had the perfect zinger for this in his speech at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner:

Romney: “Now I never suggest that the press is biased. I recognize that they have their job to do and I have my job to do. My job is to lay out a positive vision for the future of the country.” Pause. “And their job is to make sure nobody else finds out about it.”

Forget my last posting. I should have read the whole article first. I heard this on talk radio during the night, but now that I think about it, it was some Libertarian talk radio program. It is in the middle of the night though so I was half asleep.

I posted this on another thread a bit ago, I’ve got this all figured out.

First, announce that no RNC candidates will participate in any similar shenanigans in 2016. No more town halls or other crap. Candidates will be given equal time in future debates, and timing will be strictly enforced.

How to pick moderators: Let both parties submit 10 names and then throw all of the names into the trashcan. Cut a deal with the NFL to hire NFL officials to moderate each debate, equipped with three things:

1. A list of questions and rules

2. A stopwatch

3. An audio/video control box

Think about it. That is ALL you need in a moderator. When a candidates time is up or if he/she breaks the rules, the audience sees sees a test pattern and hears some nice patriotic Sousa march music until the bad behavior ends.

The moderator doesn’t need to be a “media person” at all. They just need to be able to ask questions and enforce the rules. This isn’t rocket science.

” - - - - I’m sure that Bill O’Reilly would be an excellent and fair moderator. “

Really? Only Crissy Matthews talks over the top of his guests on “Softball to Liberals” on PMSNBC more that Bombastic Belligerent Billy O’ on his FOX show “The Factor.”

Neither Crissy M. or Billy O’ need to bother with having guests on their shows, because none of their guests are allowed to answer questions.

Look to Professor Larry Sabato of NC to be a good Moderator.

The left probably want someone they deem neutral like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews or Rachel Madcow.

Here's what one of the skid marks on Journalism's shorts has for us this Monday, folks.

Tuesday 23 Oct. 2012 - Asked why he did not have any questions about Benghazi for President Obama at Monday's debate Schieffer exclaimed, "Benghazi? I Just Didn't Know About It. If I had known about it I would not have stopped Gov. Romney from asking about it. I've been on vacation and I just missed it."
