Sabathia would be on short rest for game 7. The lack of day off between O’s and Tigers series is an oddity.

On Thursday in Oakland Verlander matched at least two all time records and set one of his own. The record he set was something like the fewest pitches pitched in a complete game shutout in the post season. (Something like 122 pitches)

Yeah. I’m pulling for the Tigers, too. The O’s swung at a lot of balls that dropped out of the strike zone (Davis and Jones were the worst offenders), and inside and outside off the plate. Hardy’s game winning hit in game 4 was the only ball out of 8 pitched that actually crossed the plate. The Tiger hitters will make the Yankee pitchers actually throw strikes. There will be a lot more runs scored in this series. Hopefully, next year the O’s hitters will figure it out.
