I have neither seen the movie nor I am happy about Sam Mendes. However, in the novel “The Man with The Golden Gun” it was theorized by ‘CC’ (supposedly a fictionalized Hugh Trevor-Roper according to one source) in his report to ‘M” that Francisco Scaramanga was a homosexual.
In fact, in ‘Licence to Kill’ Franz Sanchez (Scaramanga) inexplicably hires Bond because FS is attracted to Bond.
