No one can convince me the Obama operation is stupid enough to buy national airtime for that Big Bird ad. I refuse to believe it.
I thought it was a parody—no ID of the source of the ad. No fine print at the bottom.

I saw it as well and thought it was part of the show.
I’m still amazed.
Just ran out here during SNL. I thought it was an SNL sendup. Obama has lost his mind.

We’ve only just recently started watching SNL again. Their political stuff has been quite good and I thought they were “fair enough” as my dad used to say with the Biden/Ryan debate.
But I’m fast forwarding during the ad and hubby’s yelling at me: it’s not real!
Henceforth I will be wise to it.

This is the only way it would make sense to me.
I haven’t watched snl since fantasy island was on the air. They used to do
fake commercials as part of the show.
Maybe this was one of them?

during the debate. He knew this add was coming and couldn’t get it out of his head. He figured he could get Obama committed and he would be president.
No. It was the big bird ad from team Obama.
I’m in Ohio so the ad buys are probably bigger. The ads I’ve seen for Romney are positive but just not memorable. The most frequently mentioned sound bite in them seems to be “China” this or that. Don’t see many Big “O” ads because my taste trends away from “Honey Boo Boo”.
