The James Bond film franchise turns 50 today, so we're celebrating something called Global James Bond Day. And if you don't, the studio bosses will evaporate the world's oceans with lasers from space.
Really and clearly, Global James Bond Day is all about promoting Skyfall, the 23rd 007 film, which opens next month.
So where will Daniel Craig's latest stack up against the previous Bond films? Will it be better than the excellent Casino Royale? More cringe-worthy than Moonraker?
To help you assess the looming threat of Global James Bond Day, we present our list of 22 the previous Bond films, ranked from worst to best.
And we're just kidding about the laser.
See how we rank the 22 James Bond movies
Yep thats the name Ted Turner owner of CNN..
Pryce played him perfectly with out the accent.
IMHO, the best Bond film was Goldfinger. After that one they turned all about gadgets and 'special effects' and strayed so far away from the Flemming books (which were actually mystery/suspense novels) that I loved as a teen that I lost interest in the films. I really didn't see many of the Bond films after that ... but I still (fondly) remember Ursula Andress! ;~))
“Well I would rather screw Hallie but that wasnt the only factor I was considering.”
Just make sure she doesn’t drive.
Catwoman: I watched ~half of it for the same reason you did.
“I would bet on tobacco and BO.”
No doubt. Y U C K . . .
I always thought from day one it was Ted Turner.
Yeah me as well but i can see the liberals who like Bond going with Murdoch.
I can see that, sure.
Douchebags...
RE: Which old Bond movie had the opening of Bond in a helicopter and swooped down and picked up a guy in a wheel chair and dropped him in a smoke stack?

That would be FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (Starring Roger Moore as James Bond ).
See here:

In the pre-title credits sequence (the first to be set in the UK itself), Bond (Roger Moore) was visiting his late wife Teresa’s grave (the first instance in all the Bond films) when he was picked up in a helicopter sent from Universal Exports (a cover name for MI6), due to an emergency. As it flew over London, it was remotely controlled and commandeered by a balding, maniacal villain in a wheelchair (John Hollis) (he was presumably previous SPECTRE villain and Bond enemy Blofeld (John Hollis), who was seen stroking his white Persian cat, but his face was not visible and he was unnamed). [Blofeld was an accomplice to the death of Bond’s wife, in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), killed by his assassin Irma Bunt.]
After the pilot was electrocuted with an electric shock administered through his headphones (# 1 death), the villain amused himself by sending the copter careening through the sky above him. Bond daringly climbed out onto the copter’s skids, threw the pilot’s body from the pilot’s seat and regained control just in time to avoid colliding with an abandoned building. Then, he picked up the motorized wheelchair (with one of the copter’s landing skids) and as the bad guy pleaded for his life, and offered to buy Bond a “delicatessan in stainless steel” (a Mafia term?), Bond dropped him into an industrial factory’s smokestack-chimney (# 2 death, # 1 Bond kill).
Here’s the video of the scene for those who missed it:

“Lois Chiles: Very sexy voice.”
Indeed. It was sexy and smoky like Suzanne Pleshette’s(who I also like). Her Holly is my favorite of the secret agent type of Bond girls.
Dr. No should be higher for two reasons: Ursula Andres and Steve McGarret! lol
“It was sexy and smoky”
:)
NSNA was a fine film...I liked the soundtrack also...
I think I had to cringe a few times while watching OCTOPUSSY...But, OCTOPUSSY made more money than NSNA...

If I may.
Craig has made two released films. Many say Quantum of Solace is one of the worst Bonds. Some may say average. Hardly anyone says excellent or best.
Casino Royale is his best. Many say OK, some say excellent and a few say best Bond film.
So easy to rank.
Watch out for Skyfall to be his number 2 or 1 for that matter.
I understand Craig has signed on for a fourth film. Anyone?
‘If I may.”
Of course!
“I understand Craig has signed on for a fourth film. Anyone?”
I have no idea.
