Congrats to Cabrera, its only been done 17 times.
There is also the “true triple corwn” where the player not only leads his league in the three categories but all of MLB.
Only 4 have done it:
Rogers Hornsby (1925), Lou Gehrig (1934), Ted Williams (1942) and Mickey Mantle (1956).
Also, Hornsby & Williams are the only two to win any version of it twice.

Kansas City fans, once again, showed how classy they were by recognizing the accomplishment of an opposing player by giving him a standing ovation and a curtain call.
It was classy considering the fact that they knew their team was playing the last game of the season yet more than 30,000 of them showed up anyway.

It was a very classy move by Royals fans. Now if the Royals management could just put together a team that could finish better than 18 games under .500. Haven’t made the playoffs since 1985. Oh well, there’s always next year. Cheers.
