Younger, yes. But a “less enigmatic smile?” No.
The smiles look identical—however the older/newer Mona Lisa has EYES which have a more mysterious look...in my humble opinion.

I think that the mysterious look in the eyes may be due to the accumulation of expression lines. the painting we are familiar with show a woman who has lived.
