Let's get it started in here.
The Romney team may not have thought of everything. What are some important things you think Mitt should get across?
I'll start. First off, we are in enemy territory with these moderators always. So Mitt needs to answer his own questions FIRST, and spend a few seconds at the end of his response to truly slap an answer down to the idiot question actually asked.
Mitt needs - NEEDS!- to get the word SOCIALIST or SOCIALISM in there. He doesn't need to call Obama one, but he needs to say something like "controlling and denigrating the means of production, punishing ingenuity and hard work, trying to be Santa Claus with other people's money -- that is SOCIALISM and every country that has gone that way has failed." He can also contrast capitalism where hard work and ingenuity is rewarded, where families and charities are responsible for voluntarily helping people in hard places, not government creating a class of people who stay dependent and don't achieve their potential. Um, say it better and more concise than I just did...
Stay away from the defensive. I am SURE Obama wants to get you, Romney, on the ropes, because you get visibly flustered and angry when hit with an accusation. Try not to respond to defend yourself, rather HIT HIM RIGHT BACK with a worse accusation. If you can, MAKE IT FUNNY. MAKE IT MOCKING. He will not be expected to be Alinsky'ed himself. " He sends you to the hospital, send him to the morgue." (Secret service, that is a movie quote and no threat meant against anyone.).
Example: Moderator: "Is it true, Governor, that you..." Mitt: "A far more pressing issue right now is .....[hit him hard, mockingly so] ... But in answer to your original question, I absolutely did do ... And here is why." Strongly and confidently.
Come on, brilliant freepers, add your advice here.
Thanks. The audience is listening and this is the “single white woman voter” (single, divorced, separated or widowed) who according to Gallup voted “OVERWHELMINGLY” for Obama in 2008 and Obama has opened up a 12 point gap with this demographic according to the latest CBE News/WaPo poll and WSJ/Marist poll.
Hence the “War on Women” theme and meme that the Rats keep pounding on. This falsity needs to be shredded. So Romney needs to go to blood and guts, stark hypocrisy and religion: issues that have traditionally moved women voters.
We need IMAGES (24/7), not graphs, statistics, reams of data on the economy etc. This glazes over this demographic and is not moving the needle. If Romney narrows this gender gap to 4-points he wins.
So why isn’t the Romney camp listening? I surmise that the Bush bluebloods like Ed Gillespie and Stuart Stevens who are in charge of campaign strategy are either simply too conceited to heed advice or feel reluctant to engage in bloody trench warfare.
Its not too late to pivot lest we hear the dreaded words from CNN on election night: “CNN can now project that Mr. Obama has been re-elected to a second term.” God forbid.
1. Senator Obama was one of those who blocked GOP efforts to reel in F&F
2. Much of the intelligence that was used to get Bin Laden was found in Iraq during the Bush years.
3. In 2007 when the Democrat majority Congress replaced the GOP majority Congress, unemployment was at 4.4%, the DOW was at 14,000, and the deficit was 1/10 of what it is now AND SHRINKING.
4. General Motors is becoming China Motors This in spite of promises that the bailouts would save or create American jobs.
5. Chrysler is now a foreign owned nameplate.
6. In spite of billions spent to bailout the auto industry, the Big Three (assuming you count foreign owned Chrysler as an American brand) still only account for little over half of US car sales. That's because with all of the money spent to bail out the UAW, the real problem wasn't addressed. Namely, American car buyers are still largely rejecting American cars.
Have Newt coach you.
I watched your video. Thank you. I think there is something to that by Mitt Romney looking polite and answering politely after the moderator Shows clear bias, then it will put Romney in a good light.
But it is important that Romney speak on-topic he wants to tAlk about and not answer the question directly until possibly the end of his blurb and then quickly answer the question.

Romney> How’s that slowing of the rise of the oceans going for ya?
lol
Obama is going to do what he always does. Whenever Romney makes a good point, Obama is going to try to own the idea as his and tell sob stories to waste time. The democrats always promise a “PLAN”, but there isn’t any plan. Talk about issues important to Catholics, Jews, military, youth, minorities, women, small businesses and the middle class. Don’t get bogged down in stats. Show you know and care about all issues but talk about what you are most passionate about. Use Obama’s favorite words against him - ex. unprecedented
Romney needs to look straight into the camera and talk to the electorate rather than trying to have a conversation with the moderator or the Kenyan liar. No matter what the question is, turn to the camera and inform the people of what’s really going on and maybe wrap it up with a rhetorical question to the moderator about why they’re all so biased and have completely abdicated their duty to be the watchdog of ALL politicians.
What if Romney announces in his first answer that he’s put up a website that lists all of Ubama’s failures and lies and has a photo slideshow of his presidency for all to see. Of course, the photos would be of Ubama not putting his hand on his heart during the pledge and bowing to Muzzie dictators and so-called royals, having his coat buttoned incorrectly without even noticing it, etc.
Romney can get a million hits on his site within hours. I’d suggest www.obamatrainwreck.com or something of that nature. Repeat the url multiple times during the debate.
Your lips to Gd’s ears.
We do NOT want to hear Wolf Blitzer projecting Obama the winner. We do NOT. We don’t have much time left.
We used to have a book at home called “They Also Ran.” Here is hoping that Romney isn’t hoping his legacy lies in an upcoming edition. We need the win!
Yes. Reagan did that. You paid for that mike, Mitt. USE IT! Talk directly to us. All of us. Believe in us.
Pre -empt the mods and demand Obama explain himself over 911 Libya....and watch the puddle grow under his podium

Those lines are MONEY!
Romney would be well-served to use them (or something very similar) in the debates.
I apologize to all for my double posts. I think my wifi is acting up. So sorry. I wish FR would program in a no identical post stop.
If Obama drones on about the economy he inherited, Romney should steal Rushs line the other day and say...well if you win re-election President Obama, the economy you inherit in 2014 will be twice as bad.
Hee Hee! Rush will not mind.
This is crucial. Thanks. Mitt should tell the American people that he, Mitt, cannot see any possible way to explain to the American people
- that the warned administration did not protect its ambassador
- forget warning, it was 9/11
- lying to America and blaming it on a cheesy YouTube clip when they knew it was a terrorist attack
- people were fired, jailed, and the president was forced to resign in Watergate, when no one died - it was a cheap payoff and cover up of a break in.
Great idea. I hope Romney and his staff are reading this thread.
