I am reminded of another star, Baby Peggy, a much bigger one at one time - paid $1.5 million in 1923 lost everything (or more precisely it was stolen)... One thing about TV stars of the 1940s-1970s: people never thought about such things as cable TV, VHS, DVDs, toys, posters etc - so much money they never received...

It happened to Jackie Coogan (Uncle Fester-t.v.’s “Addams Family”)as well, his parents used up a whole lot of his money! A law called “Coogan’s Law” was enacted in his behalf and of other child actors/entertainers. It was to put their money into a trust and given to them later when they were old enough to use it themselves. It was designed to keep those around them from stealing it for other purposes, and keep them from being exploited with it!
