Last night, I gave in and cried. As the Mom of 3 kids, I feel hopeless. The polls show that Obama is winning, whether we try to deny it or not. I keep asking myself "Who are these so-called Americans who will re-elect this disaster we've had in office for almost 4 years?" I am scared. Scared for the lives my children will have to live, thanks to the resident currently occupying the White House. No, I will never call him my president..in my opinion, you have to EARN that title. And the man who currently occupies the White House is much more concerned about being popular with the "in" crowd..you know, the Hollywood Liberals. Who cares that gas prices have tripled since he took office? That food prices have skyrocketed? That most of us who work for a living are struggling from paycheck to paycheck while the lazy people live off of our hard work? Hopeless. I keep going back to that word..because I feel as though we have nowhere to go. And shock. Because I cannot believe we have so many stupid Americans in our country! Don't get me wrong. I will vote, and cast my vote for Romney. But really, is it enough? I don't think so. Fellow FReepers..is all lost, as I think it is?
I don’t disagree about how folks feel about O...but I’m in the biz and can attest that there have been many, many recalls and reformulations of OTC medications that have NOTHING to do w/ O. Has to do w/ carelessness by mfg. It’s been a bloody nightmare in the OTC medications world due to packaging issues, meth heads (forcing formulation changes) and other safety concerns which have caused a lot of shortages/recalls/empty shelves.
Much like w/ the election (which I wish would happen already)...I will be glad when the problems are over for the drug companies and we can fill OTC medication orders.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Another Johnson & Johnson manufacturing plant — this one making heartburn and gas relief drugs Pepcid, Imodium and Mylanta — was cited for a pattern of quality lapses similar to those seen at the company’s shuttered Tylenol plant.
The media and the democrats want us all to stay home on election day and give up. They do this all the time. Turn OFF the TV and listen to Rush Limbaugh and then read on conservative sites. Not all are real encouraging, as there are plenty of so-called conservative writers who have already conceded the race.
My daughter was working at a shoe repair shop until a year ago when she started nursing school. MANY of the patrons are blacks. ALL were saying that they will not be voting Obama this year b/c he IS such a disaster! So, don’t give up. If you are a believer, turn to Scripture and seek God’s peace from that.
To be honest, I felt the same way when Romney won the nomination...when my candidate exited the race. I prayed a lot, and still do. What God gave me was His peace, then Romney picked Paul Ryan and I was excited. I still am. I think MOST of the country was, but I still believe we have to stay committed to voting, to talking to friends about the direction this country is in and to remember....PLEASE REMEMBER that this next 4 years will probably see 1-2 Supreme Court justices filled. Not to mention the zillions of federal court slots. There is WAY TOO MUCH at stake to stay home! Don’t let the democrats win this the same way they do almost every time. Forget the polls. Carter was WAY ahead of Reagan in the pre-election polls, but after the polls closed, it was just the opposite. In 2010, it was reported that the Tea Party was going to have egg on its face and go down in flames by many pollsters. Instead, we trounced a lot of sitting democrats! So, take heart and find a way to get news without all the media blather. It is meant to disenfranchise us and discourage us. They can only do it if we let them.
I am so glad you had the reaction I was hoping for! I'd have felt like a heel otherwise. God Bless and We Will Prevail.
NEVER EVER give-in to the ENEMY!!! IF you really want to do something STARTING tomorrow will be 40 days of fasting and praying for our country until Nov. 6.....SO GET A MOVE ON and start BEGGING GOD for mercy and a Victory!! REMEMBER...please folks...Sept.28-Nov.6 fasting for our country. THIS COST NOTHING!!!!! There is much to gain and GOD will hear our desperate cries!! Join me, I have health problems and will be fasting a meal. MY GRANDKIDS are too important for me not to do nothing!!
Trust in God? We’re in a mess, doesn’t seem like it’s been working.
ertainly more acceptable than the possibility of a 2nd term of Obama. If you cannot see the difference than you deserve the slavery that awaits you.
Certainly more acceptable than the possibility of a 2nd term of Obama. If you cannot see the difference than you deserve the slavery that awaits you.
They also took Maalox off the market. A lot of people depended on that medication that has been around as long as I can remember, originally made by Rohr pharmaceuticals. I have read that it was not a co-incedence that “errors” in the formulation were suddenly found in all the best selling antacid drugs.
Sport- Your response implies you didn’t really read my comment. Add 4 to 13 points for Romney to the polls and see what you get.
Buck up and get to work for your kids!!
I sure hope you live in one of the states that doesn’t matter.
‘Cause otherwise you’re handing off your vote to Obama.
Pride goeth before the fall.
You are using the term in a different way. Everything I wrote was about how one reacts to feelings, not about medically caused feelings. That was my WHOLE point: hope is not a feeling and lack of hope is not a feeling. It’s a choice.
What you feel at the worst is not lack of hope and it is NOT despair. You call it despair but you are using the term that MUST by its etymology mean a matter of choice (since hope is a matter of choice—you can choose to hope even when you FEEL “hopeless”—using hope in a different sence).
We are saying the same thing about choice versus hopeless feelings. But since you wish to apply “despair” to a matter of feelings, you think you disagree.
Yes, I live in a safe Romney state. But if I didn’t I still wouldn’t vote for either Marxist.
