With two weeks left to register to vote, the number of people on Chicagos voting rolls is about 225,000 less than it was by the time registration closed four years ago, election officials said today.
And its going to be tough, if not impossible, to make up the difference, because this election so far lacks the excitement of 2008, when President Barack Obamas historic bid for the nations top office energized Chicago voters, said Langdon Neal, chairman of the Chicago Board of Elections.

It doesn’t matter. Everyone will get on line on election night and get a judge to keep the voting open for provisional ballots if the Democrats need votes.
Not too worry. 150% voter turnout will solve things.
“Registration? We don’t need no steenkin’ registration.”
Registration is racis’!
unemployment in the black community is way high.
obammy failed to pay negros lectric bills and they are not going to come out in droves to support this assclown again.
Don’t forget to include the total number of votes from the dead.
But I heard blacks will be voting in the same numbers for “obvious reasons.” :/
Any FReepers in Cook County? They need election judges badly or Democrats might fill them. We all need to do our part to win this. It pays $170.00 and the deadline is Thursday. There is alot at stake here.

I'm going to make a prediction: if four weeks from now we still have the same ratios in OH among absentees/early votes that we have now, the GOP turnout everywhere will EXCEED 2012 percentages.
If I were Romney up against our current media where everything I say is a gaffe that sinks my campaign (again), I wouldn’t go the Gingrich scorched earth approach. I’d quietly reduce my presence in the media, let Obama say stupid stuff, and build up a huge, unprecedented behind-the-scenes effort to keep track of voters in hierarchies organized from state to county to precinct to individual level.
I’d organize it like a big corporation, put people in charge. I’d shoot for 100% turnout of all registered Republicans, at least 80% of them before Election Day in early voting states.
It does seem like that is exactly what Romney is doing.
Lingering fall-out from the Burr Oak Cemetery scandal.
Looks like you are on to something.
Naw. The excitement within the graveyard community is quite high.
Bring out your dead.
I agree. Ive been thinking the same thing for a while, but if you say that around here youre accused of being a bot. Romney CANNOT go red meat, because the media will overwhelmingly spin it against him. So, pretend to be inoffensive, just keep repeating your economic ideas, dont say anything stupid, and let Zero continue to sink himself.
Have you collated all the OH absentee ballot statistics by county in one place? What do you make of http://www.carolinatransparency.com/ ?
