I attended the U of Minnesota in Minneapolis. I was walking from campus to my student apartment. This was in 2003. An African American man sucker punched one of my neighbors and fellow students, and broke his jaw, for no apparent reason. It was happened just one or two minutes after I passed that exact point. I never walked around alone again in that area, I would catch up to groups heading to the building or wait up for friends.
Fricking amazing that this grand country has huge swaths across it where no white person can walk without fearing for his/her life.
I live in the largely rural west and there just isn’t any room for this kind of crap. But it seems to me folks in good places where it is now happening have to band together in neighborhood monitoring and even street protection militia-type groups. At the very least individual citizens have to do everything they can to carry a weapon legally.
Living in terror—in America!—has got to end.
