I guess we disagree. 10 feet away will give time to take a personal protective stance, unless they are running (which is what I believe they are making allowance for above, when they say “charging”) in which case, obviously, they don’t need to be warned...they need to be stopped, because no one stranger will jump from a car and run at you without what a cautious person would construe as malicious intent.
If George Zimmerman ever gets his time in court he probably will testify to the circumstances of the confrontation. This would be very relevant to this discussion. If GZ had two seconds to counter the attack he would have pointed the gun at the attacker, and most likely TM would have deescalated the conflict in a very short time. (TM was not a stranger to drugs, but at that time he is not reported to be entirely out of his mind.)
