I have all my old perscrition glasses stored away, because, sometimes, due to my lifestyle, glasses get broken. I always buy the same exact frames, so I have spare parts.

Today, though, I had to use a jewler's loupe to read some fine print on a can of bug poison. Even glasses can't help with everything.

I have two exact frames, but I did it because the bridge of my nose is small and it was hell to find a frame with a narrow bridge. Now, I have one to put new lens in when I need a prescription change.

However, now I have a pair that only has the reading prescription in it and it's very small so I can see over the frame when not reading. I hated to have to pick a new frame but saw a small one made out of thin pink metal and put it on and it fit the bridge of my nose perfectly. Then, the eyeglass lady said, “That is a child's frame.” Then she said, “But it fits.” I got those. Didn't realize the metal was titanium but it is so I understand those could get bent and go back the way they were - like they are unbreakable.

Hopefully, I am through with dealing with frames for a long time.

I also hoard prescription glasses. Recently embarked on an Internet study of sights and optics for rifles to avoid overspending just to try this and that. Whoah. Quite a study for people with bifocals.

I tried that, but last year they quit carrying the frames I've been getting for a decade. Oh well. I have plenty of old prescription glasses set aside, just in case. And for the last few years I've been getting new glasses every year, whether I need them or not. Just in case...
