[I’ll grant you though...watching our cat freak out over his own shadow and then run hysterically into a wall is pretty danged amusing..in a pitiful “Bless his heart” sort of way]

LOL! I can just see that happening! We had a cat that liked to get to boxes and shopping bags etc. and pee. One day after doing his favorite thing he got his head through the shopping bag handles and instead of backing out he raced forward. The rustling of the paper scared him even more and before we could catch him he had bounced off of several walls and a few pieces of furniture. I was afraid he had broken his neck or cracked his skull but after a few minutes he was OK.
