galvanize [gal-vuh-nahyz]
hear it pronounced
verb, transitive
1. to stimulate to action; excite; startle
2. to cover (iron, steel, etc) with a protective zinc coating by dipping into molten zinc or by electrode position
3. to stimulate by application of an electric current
Origin: 1795–1805; < French galvaniser, named after Luigi Galvani

We were hopeful that the Muslim riots spreading across the world would galvanize the mainstream media into telling the truth about their anointed one’s foreign policy failures. As they say in North Korea: “rotsa ruck.”
To prevent further grade inflation, I have re-scaled the curve. The highest grade will be A+++.
