During a private fundraiser earlier this year, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told a small group of wealthy contributors what he truly thinks of all the voters who support President Barack Obama. He dismissed these Americans as freeloaders who pay no taxes, who don't assume responsibility for their lives, and who think government should take care of them. Fielding a question from a donor about how he could triumph in November, Romney replied:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.

Well, remember that a lot of folks who get a refund check because too much was taken out don't get ALL that they paid back. They may get a refund, but they still paid an effective tax rate.
Romney has to do what Reagan did, go directly to the PEOPLE..F the media..the media is 95 percent in the tank for Obama anyway. Just take the message to the people. Everything Romney says and does will be smeared by the media, Romney should tell them all to go F themselves, say that the people need to hear the truth, need to hear what Obama wants to do to this country til it crumbles altogether. Obama wants us ALL reliant on Govt because it keeps him and the rest of the Commies in power

Well, it definitely doesn’t help to sound contemptuous of a large slice of the electorate because they weren’t all Democrats for sure. The only silver lining is that poor, low income, and low information voters tend to concentrate together and tend to be the slices that either don’t vote or that he never had any hope of capturing in any event.

It’s from an insider, with the tapes altered by MJ to protect the leaker. I agree with one thing, that Romney never should have expected privacy.
In fact an Obama “private” tape surfaced during his campaign, but the media said they couldn’t spill the beans since their sources wouldn’t let them.
The problem is that he sounds like he doesn’t CARE.
The economy is so bad, we could get a huge number of disaffected people to vote for Romney or stay home.
Everything would be OK if he hadn’t said he wouldn’t worry about 47 percent of the electorate. Many of these people are struggling and need help. Many of them ARE victims — and Romney is seen as attacking the victim. STUPID.
He is accurate.
But the problem is he should have said that these people need help.

Yes, they are a bunch of former hippies who steer to the left of Lenin. I was trying to make a joke that they were now ardent supports of Romney - as I was sympathetic with the article highlighting the problem of having a large chunk of the population hooked on the Government's heroin.

Might be a slight problem considering how many Republicans have lost their jobs, homes, bushiness, savings, etc over the past 5 years.
It’s very interesting that the Drudge story says Mother Jones won’t say WHEN the tape was made, only that it was sometime after Romney won the nomination. That means they’ve been sitting on it until it was needed. This tells me Obama is in WAY MORE trouble than anyone in the media is willing to admit.

So why does that commie rag have their panties in a knot. What he said was spot on, and the “silent majority” of Americans who actually give a d@mn will agree with him. Remember the infamous video “Obama gonna pay for my gas and my mortgage?” These people are deadbeats.
