In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.

Noun
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.

U.S. State Department corrects Barack Obama: Egypt IS an American ally, Mr President
In before PING.
The REAL DEAL
52 days till we throw the bum out! It’s coming. On November 6th, the American people will stand up and yell in unison, “You’re fired!” It’s building up steam, like a freight train, it’s coming.
You and everyone else. My computer keeps freezing up. Good morning!
A+++ Soon he will be a bitter memory.
Obama, the great rhetorician
Long-winded, condescending, patrician
With the world up in smoke
This guy is a joke
Might as well put a sign up: “Gone Fishin’”
A+++ LOVE it!
She looked pissed. Good for her! Now that is a fired up base who’s going to take along a lot of independents to the only poll that counts. A+++
Nice. Hope you don’t mind if I riff off your rhyme:
Obama’s a sly rhetorician
His words belie his true mission
America’s demise his penultimate prize,
For godhood is what he’s a wishin’
A+++ Another great one!
Editorial note: although we all are using O as the symbol of rhetorician, he’s really just a windbag.
A rhetorician is merely a person with an excess of verbosity
Wonder if xsbaby saw her, obviously from the fairfax rally.
And will Billy Bubba go off the reservation in a tirade like the last time and stop campaigning for Obozo as well.....
These big words are best left to our resident litery scholar, so called since he has been studying liter bottles for years, our very own, Clive Bertrand, Popular Mechanics Archivist and Sanitation Plant Foreman.
Clive: “This is from a famous novel about Scarlett O’Hairy who wore these big dresses in a big house, had a big mouth and a Butler named Rhet that she loved even though he had only one suit and big false teeth.
So ole Scarlett, the Starlett talked alot about Rhet the butler and she was a Rhetorician.
The story was Written by Martha Stewart Mitchell when she wasn't making cakes too ugly to sell and too pricey to eat.”
Thank you Clive, I now know more about The War of Digression.
What the blank could possibly go wrong?
Got that off another thread from yesterday....hehehehehe! and had to scoop it up for may homepage.
Cool. And that is a great line “embroidered knee pads”.
Well it’s time for the I told you so: BHO, McCain, Bill Kristol, etc. were all 100% wrong about the Arab Spring. Glenn Beck and I were right.
Yet no homework featuring Joey Biden. Weird, huh?
