I think I’ll go ahead and assume drink, drugs, and good old fashioned mental illness before assuming demons. Not because I dispute demons, but because blaming it on them is too easy an out for people’s misbehavior.

(People hear demonic possession and they think: "oooh, the devil with horns and a pitchfork - ohh, I'm scared...." - they have NO idea).
