In his ghost-written (by William Ayers) 'autobiography', "Dreams of My Father", Barack Hussein Obama said,
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction..."
You are the “ugly direction”.
I must say this is also the failure of the GOP to act and stop this man from becoming president. They did not care and this is the result.
You can’t just make up words and call them a direct quote.
It is called lying, and when you try to send conservatives out to use them in conversation and be humiliated when they are proven to be false, then you are something truly nasty.
Well then, since Obama things he's a big tough guy cause "he killed Osama," and all these new dudes are coming along and shouting that "we are Osama," then it's pretty clear that in order to maintain his chest-thumping tough guy image, he needs to kill all of these new Osamas as well!
I totally agree. It makes conservatives look stupid if you use a false quote like this - with actual quotation marks around it, which is dead wrong. From all indications, the actual quote was "with them" rather than "with the Muslims," leaving you to figure out who "them" is by looking at the statement in context. No doubt it is subject to interpretation, and could easily be argued to be "Arab and Pakistani Americans" rather than the generic "Muslims."
That being said, I have no doubt that he stands with Muslims in his own mind and belief system, simply based upon his many statements and actions. These also indicate that he has a preference for Islam over Christianity from a cultural and political standpoint, although he's obviously a God-less man.
That said...I think he thinks he's a kindred spirit with Muslims..and I think he leans towards them.
We not only lose arguments with fake information, we lose credibility, most of us would feel very humiliated to use false quotes and then have our heads handed to us in front of the audience that we were trying to win to our side.
Most of us just flat can’t lie, or tolerate such a blatant lie.
A thread like this should be removed.
Before I had my coffee this morning I almost used this quote because it looked so clean and straight forward, thankfully I dragged myself back, to do due diligence, and found out that the thread poster had made it up.
So who did he imply he would side with?
You can look it up.
Who?
You cannot make up quotes.
Is anyone home in there??
