"CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell said, "Then when a lot of people hear this, aren't they going to say, 'This is another example of where, not just the Bush administration, but our intelligence community dropped the ball. They failed to heed the warnings that were in a number of these (documents) that went all the way up to the president of the United States.'"
Eichenwald replied, "Actually, the counterterrorist center of the CIA did a spectacular job, and that's what really comes down. You know, in the aftermath, the White House and others said, 'Well they didn't tell us enough.' No, they told them everything they needed to know to go on a full alert and the White House didn't do it."
W was busy embracing and celebrating diversity like the libs told him to.
You mean the way this administration is dropping the ball on our borders?
Holding over Norm Maneta was a fatal mistake.
Jammie Gorelick, from the Clinton administration, created an arbitrary barrier between the Intelligence and Law Enforcement arms of the FBI.
THAT is the single mechanism that caused us to miss the warning signs.
Too many folks believe it was a gap between the CIA and FBI.
It was NOT!
I still blame clinton. He did nothing in 1993 when the W.T.C. was first attacked. Never forget!!
The unmitigated chutzpah of the Clintonistas and their Sandy Pants Berger tactics never ceases to amaze me. So now it’s all Bush’s fault.
Never liked Norah O’Donnell ever since he blew Super Bowl XXX.
The NY Times Lies. Still hating Bush.
To post her pic 2 seconds after my post was truly remarkable!
The DEMS had to steal and burn their warnings to Clinton.

intelligence briefing of “al queda wants to hit america” warrants what kind of response... of course terrorists want to hit america... give us specifics and we’ll stop them... generalities are for covering your asses...
we need a government with the cajones to crush those that hurt us and what we believe in.
hurt us, and it is going to hurt you, a lot.

The DoJ efforts to shield Toon from prosecution had an repairable unintended consequence. (see tag)
I thought Syria called Clinton back in the 1990s and told him they had OBL in their sights, would he like to do something about it. I seem to recall that Clinton didn’t answer in the affirmative.
And didn’t someone in the US military, post 9/11m also have OBL in their sights, but refused to give the order to kill him as ‘It just didn’t feel right’?
Clinton’s zero answer to so many terrorist attacks on us (SS Cole and others) enabled them to go to our shores. Blame? Pin him!
Jammie Gorelick, from the Clinton administration, created an arbitrary barrier between the Intelligence and Law Enforcement arms of the FBI.
I agree.
For years now, I've taken to calling any needless bureaucratic barrier in or between organizations as “Gorelick Walls.”
Ok, so after the fact, I sit down and look at thousands and thousands of pagers of information and say -
ye we shoulda seen that coming.
The charge of the WH knowing and not doing anything is ridiculous.
The people in the know pour over mountains of information and make decisions, unfortunately sometimes they are wrong.
