Sandy didn’t become a slut. She changed gangs to be with Travolta, and so changed ‘uniforms’. And at the same time Travolta changed gangs to be with her.
Plus the ‘teen pregnancy’ in the movie gets married. All very wholesome. Grease is about the music.
Who was the "teen pregnancy"? Rizzo was simply late and not actually preggers. She didn't marry Kenickie and told him it wasn't his anyway (if there was another pregnancy, I can't think who it was). Sandy didn't change gangs, and was having trouble being accepted by the Pink Ladies because she was too much like Sandra Dee. At the end of the movie, after much thought, she decided she needed to change and had her hair done, pierced her ears, started smoking and poured herself into that black outfit. If she actually "became" a slut, I can't say, but she sure looked the part.
I agree I'm all about the music and not the message, but as for saying the message is "wholesome", I have to disagree.
