Where's "here" and what's the family size and income?

In my state, WA, known to be liberal with benefits, family of four (two adults; two kids) with minimal income gets around $550.

If my family of 4 went out to eat 3 times a day to modest restuarant, $1000 a month would nearly cover it. That is assuming no alcohol is purchased.
