According to The Weather Channel..."A period of showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and 11pm. Partly to mostly clear with temperatures slowly falling to near 73F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 80%."

Hoping they're wrong.

We all heard early predictions of “outside in ‘Panther’s Stadium’ rain or shine”. That tells me beyond a shadow of doubt that mass quantities of empty chairs was too much to bear.

Radar shows rain the area. But it sounds like this normal weather there about every day in September.
They weren't aware of this a year ago?

What’s with the reports of heavy rain?

We had some heavy rain, that's what.

Bigger image:

This precipitation is 40-50 miles south of Charlotte moving in a southeasterly direction. In other words, no threat of rain in the Queen City.

Jay Carney probably wrote that for them.

They had the same chance of rain in Denver in 2008.

On my radar looks like a storm is dropping down from around Winston Salem area towards Charlotte. But only seeing the one storm. There is quite a bit moving towards the coast.I am in Wilmington and looks like storms are headed this way.

No joke.....at 5:30 this evening I checked my app for The Weather Channel and weather in charlotte.

6:00 sunny 15% chance of rain
7:00 thunderstorms 90%
8:00 thunderstorms 80%
9:00 thunderstorms 55%

I really believe this was intentionally forecasted to give Obama cover.

The report now is completely different, with only a 10 % chance of showers tonight. 90% and 80% is a certainty, something is not right.

Romney and Ryan should have scheduled an event at the stadium this evening - we would have filled it up.

Aug. ‘08 I was visiting from CA, to our daughter’s in CO.
I was slumming Denver’s 16th St. Mall all afternoon, wearing a bunch of McCain pins, on O’dumpo’s Greek Column night in a near-by sports stadium. (no one spat on me, as they wore BHO shirts. . . ).

A 60ish year old man stopped me, said he was GOP too.
And asked who I thought McCain would name his VP.
Said ‘not this one, or that,’ for various reasons.
Then said, “but then there’s Sarah Palin!’

My new friend was excited, extended his hand for a shake, saying she was his pick, also!
Next morning, woke to the TV going nuts with Sarah, McCain’s pick.

Wish the 16th St. Mall stranger and I had exchanged phone numbers. He must have been near as giddy as I that Sarah was picked!

Oh - no rain that night in Denver, as I recall - - -
