Andy Roddick of the United States waves to the crowd after losing to Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina after their men's singles fourth round match on Day Ten of the 2012 US Open at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on September 5, 2012 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.

Tennis killed itself.
There are no personalities on either the men’s or women’s circuit.
I know Roddick is retiring, but my reaction is: who cares?

That’s a shame. Tennis? What is that?

Good luck to Andy in the future. As a tennis player, I always felt like he never could quite get to the elite level. I haven’t been invested in tennis since Pete Sampras retired, although I do like watching Novak play whenever he’s on.
