I am a runner and either he embellished his time or perhaps he has run a sub 3 hour marathon on his own time (unofficial). I did a half marathon in 1:48 while training in perfect conditions, but my best official time in a race is 1:57. I consider the 1:48 as my personal best. A sub 3 hour marathon is a tough feat but not impossible, especially for a gym rat like Ryan. Has Ryan himself provided an explaination? Again, I am a runner involved in some local groups and have yet to have anyone bring this up as if a big deal.

I think Ryan told someone he could (or did) run a marathon in 2.5 hours. He apparantly has never done so though. He has run plenty of marathons, and he could have just lied to everyone about his time, but he didn’t bother, its such a petty issue

I believe that most marathon races have websites with the times posted. You can tell them that you can probably go check the official record, but tell them that Ryan has spent a few million dollars to have the race records sealed.
Whatever the “issue” is just call it a composite of his runs. What exactly are they hysterical about.
