Those numbers are garbage. 6.5% was unemployment rate late in 2008.

The unemployment numbers are misleading. The unemployment rate only leaped above 7% in the final two months of Bush's presidency due to the 2008 financial crisis which was caused by the democrats, e.g. Clinton, Dodd, Frank.

The average unemployment rate during Bush's 8 years was 5.2%. In comparison that average was 5.1% during Clinton's 8 years. Funny how the dems have succeeded in making the Clinton years look better than the Bush years when they were about the same from an unemployment standpoint.

The average unemployment rate during Obama's 'reign' is 9.1 (Aug/2012). In comparison the average unemployment rate during Carter was 7.6%.

But here is a killer statement -- as of June, 2012 "the unemployment rate in all 41 months of Obama’s presidency has been higher than that of any single month in President Bush’s 8 years in office." That is an incredible statistic I don't hear this mentioned much.

Happy Labor Day, Barack!
