Those numbers are garbage. 6.5% was unemployment rate late in 2008.

I hate when anyone quotes the 8.x percent unemployment rate because they are not mentioning how the workforce has SHRUNK! That rate is total BS, if you count the people who were in the workforce in 2008 it is now about 10% or 11%!

Every time the Dems try to say “the policies that got us here”, remind them that between 2003-2006 (the year Dems took over Congress), the Bush administration averaged 151,650 jobs per month. This is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Don’t let them get away with selective memories. They created the Bush mythology, now they’re trying to use it as a talking point.
