Just stirring stuff up on a Sunday morning...
Oh boy!!
...You’re really looking to stir up a hornet’s nest! LOL
They don’t get much more loyal/fanatical/vocal than 1911 fans. This one should be fun.
(hands ‘real saxophonist’ a flame proof suit and runs like hell)
Broomhandles may look weird, but they shoot really well.Winston Churchill saved his own life using one.
Have both, love 'em both. But then my 9mm is an H&K, and well worth the price! ;-)
Taking the boys out to Ottawa, IL today to practice with their new S&W AR-15. Shame we have to drive 90 minutes to the only place they can shoot. None of the rifle ranges up here allow anyone under 18, even with an FOID card. Go figure.
I'm just here for the gun porn...
Me too.
5.56mm
So he should first dis's Chuck Norris's, and after he''s done with that, then dis's 1911's on thi's forum?
They'd have missed with that too.
Preface: I have nine 1911s of different flavors(original 1911, 1911A1 Government Colt 1943 to a Colt Defender)and five Glocks (17 ,19 , 21, 23 and 26).
Despite the YouTube author’s complaints about the grip safety (which he curiously says wasn’t intended in Browning’s original design and which I find hard to believe), I find it and the slide safety a value add.
I read a lot of times about NYC and other Urban city cops spraying full mags into wherever (most recent is 16 shots fired with 9 hitting bystanders)....my guess is that they carried Glocks.
Lastly, I go to Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna GA a lot. They have two or three FULL cases of used Police Glocks for sale - why is that if they’re so valued? So the police can get a Gen 4 with a new case and scope rail?
Broomhandle mauser....they just dont make em like that any more.
A pity- I think they look cool.
Winston Churchill carried one..Han Solo carried one too.
What kind of ammo do you use in it?
Too Buck Rogers looking for me.I’ll stick with my MP5A3.
The H&K USP9. I have the high-capacity clips for mine. Excellent handgun for self-defense. Paid $760 for mine almost 20 years ago now, saw it at MegaSports in Plainfield, IL a few weeks back for just over $1,100. As much as I like my USP9, no way I'd pay that price for it.
Will say this though: My H&K USP9 has NEVER jammed or misfired, and I've run some pretty crappy ammo through it.
I use Hornady 38 SPCL+P 110 gr FTX (#90311).
yeah...and probably dropped the 1911 in the process...
Dad was NYPD He retired in 68 Once a year he went to the range on Rodmans Neck and put a box or so of shells through his Model 10(nice soft .38 special bullets that did not ricochet). Had he not been just out of the Marines when he joined the force(1946), I am sure he would have been barely trained too
A friend of my sons joined NYPD around 10 years ago. And he came over to me to ask how to make various types of weapons safe as they never taught him anything other than how to fire the plastic gun he was issued. And barely knew anything about that
Mike Frank’s preferred weapon.
...also referred to as “Critical Defense”.
Jonathan Davis worked in Funeral Service, as did I, so he's good to go.
That Han Solo Blaster is sooo cool! I was just thinking that they look sorta “ray gun-ish” and then you posted this.
Leave it to Hollywood.
Be careful, I'll shoot yer eye out !!
you put high capacity woman’s hair accessories into your firearm? I wouldn’t recommend that hehe.
