FULL TITLE: Brutal LAPD arrest caught on video; Department investigating cops seen bodyslamming nurse twice during cell phone traffic stop (VIDEO)
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating two officers who were allegedly caught on surveillance camera slamming a nurse on the ground twice and then fist bumping afterward during a recent traffic stop.
The two officers pulled over Michelle Jordan, 34, of Sunland, Aug. 21, for allegedly talking on her cell phone while driving in Tujunga, in northeast Los Angeles, the department said.
Jordan pulled into the parking lot of a Del Taco restaurant and got out of her car to confront the officers, cops said.
The taco joint's surveillance video appears to show the officers, both men, yanking the 5-foot-4 inch registered nurse from the open driver's seat and then slamming her on the ground to cuff her.
The duo then yank Jordan to her feet and bring her to the patrol car, where they pat her down.
Moments later, one of the cops slams the married mom to the ground a second time.

I notice these macho cops go after the weakest targets.....like typical bullies, cowards,or impotent men...
Given how they selectively apply 'laws', even those that cannot legitimately be laws, yes.
Even when they weren't ultraviolent thugs-with-badges, you shouldn't talk to them w/o a lawyer... but now that they are actively pursuing military tactics against the general people with SWAT and no-knock raids (both generally instances of Rapid Dominance doctrine) as-a-group, and as individuals they display this brutality -- with little to no consequence (Costco shooting, Fast and furious, etc) then we are very much at their mercy... until, and unless, someone [we-as-a-society] smacks them down hard.
Given the financial realities of California and ruined cities like LA, cops and highway patrol officer are becoming bag men for their rulers.
So All of us are at the mercy of the Blue Stormtroopers?
yes.
I rest my case.
“I notice these macho cops go after the weakest targets.....like typical bullies, cowards,or impotent men...”
Or all three. Some of them can multi-task.
What case? You made none; therefore my case (which I did make) wins, no?
The only reason that I "hate cops" is because I hate injustice, and they have become nothing more than the perpetrators and enforcers of injustice: both legal and moral. -- Indeed, if they were not unjust then they would not tolerate the injustice among their ranks as they do, yet they routinely ignore the law when a fellow-officer breaks it, they routinely lie: to suspects, to witnesses, and to the courts under oath.
If such behavior is not acceptable for general society, then why should it be acceptable in the police?
Yes, unless you luck out and someone has filmed your beating and puts it on youtube. Videos have a way of starting “internal investigations” with lots of press releases from the chief. Of course, soon to be followed by police charges of “wiretapping” to the camera person once the media hoopla dies down.
A friend of mine is a retired cop and he admitted to me that the longer he is out of the force, the more he dislikes cops. When he was in the club, he just rolled with the games they play. And based on his stories, we only see the tip of the iceberg.
I understand that you may get excited about the thought of a couple roided-out god-like miniature blue barrage balloons wiping up a parking lot with a defenseless 5'4" girl, but you should really keep both hands on the keyboard.
It'll save you the stutter-posts...
BTW - did you fist-bump the screen, afterwards? ;-)
Laws should be obeyed but those who enforce them have to understand the relative importance of enforcement of those laws and the effort made to apprehend the law breaker.
Jay walking is against the law but it doesn't call for an air strike against the offender.
But that is apparently what took place with a nurse pulled over for use of a cell phone while driving. Each one of the police had an obligation to protect from harm someone in their custody and under their control and they failed to do so.
Uncle Ben left out the important 2ND part: "but responsibility demands accountability."
Many of our current political woes would be nonexistent if there really was accountability.
Precisely.
“Many of our current political woes would be nonexistent if there really was accountability.”
But the corrupt will never endanger their own comfortable nest to rid themselves of those befouling it.
I wouldn’t want to be pulled over by those two cops with no cameras or observers nearby.
I think it’s official. Jeff Chandler supports slamming handcuffed women to the ground.
Jeff Chandler supports assaulting handcuffed women.
I rest my case. You approve of handcuffing and slamming to the ground a woman who was no physical threat to the officers.
“The treatment of the woman seems particularly harsh, even if she was behaving with an attitude”
Taking the story at face value without watching the video, let me say this: if 2 professionally trained men cannot restrain a 5’ 4” woman without body slamming her to the ground they need to find different work.
I’ve always considered myself a law & order person, but it has become clear that our LEOs are very much out of control.
“Taking the story at face value without watching the video, let me say this: if 2 professionally trained men cannot restrain a 5 4 woman without body slamming her to the ground they need to find different work.”
Indeed. The only explanation for the behavior of these police officers is that they *enjoy* abusing those smaller than themselves.
