I was just thinking about what the GOP did when they had control.
Medicare Part D, No Child Left Behind and more domestic programs.
It skyrocketed our national debt.
Last GOP and Bush Budget. Federal Deficit 2006 $160 billion
Last Democrat Congress and O budget. Federal Deficit 2010 1.6 trillion
So rather then keep mindlessly propagandizing for the Obama Democrats, take the time to learn even the most basic facts.
I won’t argue they increased debt. I’m as much pi$$ed off at the GOPe as anybody...I’ve even dissed Bush on DHS and TSA and neglect of the economy. But I see no purpose for this at this point in time. All the circumstances surrounding events after 2007 are highly subjective and political as hell, and your numbers don’t take that into account.
What the GOP did when they had control was atrocious.
But it was a small fraction of what the Rats did when they had control.
NO OPNE here is going to defend Bush II’s spending, but he did have 9/11 and two wars to deal with
AND they tried to stop fannie mae before the housing meltdonw which was the main reason FOR all the stimulus spending
...and I also forgot to mention the accumulating interest on the annual existing debt.
