Watch Boehner completely ignore the 'No's' votes over the Establishment power grab
Youtube ^

Posted on 08/29/2012 9:36:23 AM PDT by Bigtigermike

The result of the RNC new rules will be to centralize power in the hands of the Republican Establishment in Washington at the expense of the grass roots. It will also have the effect of making a primary challenge to Romney from the right in 2016 (if he wins) more difficult, given that he will control the party apparatus to an unprecedented degree given his new rules. Mark Levin stated that John Boehner ignored the “nos” which were at least as loud, if not louder than the “ayes” so that he could give Romney surrogate John Sununu, standing right next to him, what he wanted. By simply circumvented the vote by declaring ”the ayes gave it” despite all evidence to the contrary. What has the Republican Party become?

(Note: this is the only video I could find of the coup and so the poster of the original video thinks this is Paulbots negative doings when it's not - as was noted yesterday, a lot of Tea Party and grassroots conservatives were upset as well because they know that the potential for the Establishment to rig the primaries in future at will is in play)

You're very late. The Republican Party has been a moderate party for many years. Why shouldn't the majority of the party do what it pleases?

(I left the party in 2007 rather than be a member of a moderate party. I'm voting for Romney since he is superior to Obama, and I'm not about to miss my chance to vote against him again.)

So if you are in fact a conservative who wants to cast a vote for the candidate who truly means to deliver on a promise to limit the size of government, cut federal spending, and safeguard the rights of the individual, to what party do you turn?

The Republican party is the better of the two for those things you list. However, you're leaving off half of what makes a paultard. They also believe loopy info-wars conspiracy theories, abandoning Israel, that it's okay if Iran gets nukes, that a wall along the Southern border might be used to keep Americans from fleeing to Mexico, etc - you know the crazy stuff that makes it impossible for Ron Paul to really get an traction beyond his drug addled college mushhead following.

That being the case, the voter who actually wants government off his back may as well stay home come election day.

Most people realize that general elections are simply a choice between the 2 tickets that have any chance of winning. Voting for the least bad option is the norm in 2 party systems. It sucks, but that's just how it is. Maybe once or twice in your lifetime will you really have someone to get excited about voting for in a general election.

Paultards do not have some constitutional right to be in the GOP. If they aren't going to support it's nominees, then they should just go away. Maybe try taking over the Democrat party and see if they are more agreeable to an insurgency within their ranks who have no intention to support the actual party nominees.

There are plenty of indicators out there that little will change. Governors on both sides of the aisle are going full steam ahead with Obamacare. Even Mitt's buddy Rick Snyder here in Michigan is going ahead with a health care exchange by executive order against the wishes of the people or legislature.

The green energy sector isn't showing any signs of slowing down in anticipation of their funding being cut off. Industry bigwigs like Geoffry Imelt are supporting Romney now.

The Convention benediction was read by Rev Samuel Rodriguez who joined La Raza in a meeting amnesty with Obama last month.

I'm not talking about pro-Paul chauvinists... I'm talking about genuine conservatives. Forget about the Paulistas and answer me this: If I want smaller government, not just government growing more slowly than before or government growing in different ways through different means than the Liberals want but actually SMALLER government, who do I vote for?

Saying that the Republicans are closer to what I want in that regard misses the point. It's like telling a man who's thirsty for a drink of water that used fryer oil is closer to what he is looking for than Drano is.

Romney won't get my vote this year. I can see how our current president, a product of Chicago politics, is a bad idea; I don't see how voting for a product of Boston politics is any better.

And the moderate purists have spent the last 50 years pointing to the Goldwater defeat that they engineered as proof that conservatives can't get elected.

They ignore the fact that Reagan did get elected while the moderates Ford, Dole and McCain did not.

“What does he care. He will be reelected in his district and he will be Majority leader until he wants to give it up or we lose the House.”

I said nearly two years ago that Boehner needed to be primaried, and if that failed he needed to face a strong third party challenger just to make an example of him. “Oh, no, we can’t afford to lose that representation!”

How much representation do you have now?

“They dismissed it out of hand as a bunch of Paulnuts having a fit”

Yep. One thing the Geriatric Old Plotters can do well is coordinate lies.

I’ll rest easy now knowing you are handling this.

You never know. It may come down to you or me.

“paultards who are never going to vote for the eventual nominee no matter who it was (unless it was Paul of course).”

This election is a done deal. Paul is older than dirt and this was probably his last campaign. This is not about Paul - that's a Shibboleth. This is about purging conservatives and making sure no more conservative presidential candidates slip through the GOP defenses like Reagan did. If these rules stand, the GOP will never nominate another conservative for president because the party machinery is completely owned and controlled by the left. Similar techniques have been employed by academia to purge themselves of the “right wingers.”

He didn’t ignore the nos, he declared the Yay’s had it, and looking at the floor, he was right.

Don’t have to like the resolution, but what I saw sure didn’t give me the impression he ignored or improperly called the vote.

It was around the time of the Detroit riots and Romney brought Alinsky in to help solve the problems of Detroit.

Its like giving a 3 year old a loaded gun and sending him out on the playground to play cowboys and indians with the other kids.
