Obama's Perfect Media Storm Might Have Just Been Born As Isaac Models Shift West
Hurricane Models ^ | 8-25-2012

Posted on 08/25/2012 6:38:11 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

Yes this is a vanity and yes everything can change again in 12 hours...HOWEVER...BE REMINDED OF THIS QUOTE FROM TEAM OBAMA!!!

"Never let a good crisis go to waste"

The perfect storm might be developing for Obama as we speak as models for Tropical Storm soon to be Hurricane Isaac have shifted directly towards where?

New Orleans.

Take a moment and think about this scenario.

Team Obama with HHS and FEMA get together and make sure they do everything Team Bush didn't do in the days and hours leading up to Katrina. The week of the hurricane as it ravages the Gulf coast...Obama rides into town and saves the day with his army of loving media scum riding in tow to capture every shot and picture of Obama's government "hard at work" for the American people.

What's next?

A DNC convention to show images and talk up the heroic acts of Team Obama and before you know it...polls swing and shift and Obama is up 10 points in national polls because we know the average American is only interested in their short term memory and who was a hero to them lately and who is taking care of them and saving the day.

Get ready...because if these models indeed keep West into Louisiana....Team Romney has a bigger problem on its hands than a poor speaking Congressman out of Missouri.

Remember...at the end of the day...it is all about the media and all about their control and what they can do with images and words.

Too late. He had several dry runs (TN Flood, Gulf Coast Oil Spill) and flunked them all.

Plus all Gulf Coast states are controlled by Repubs. Makes the charade more difficult.

Nobody would buy that crap.Everybody else around the country is still suffering and the media trying to make knucklehead look good would be seen as such.

You seem to be thinking that the Gulf oil spill and TN floods are even part of the current American thinking process. The average American still remembers Katrina and the average American will always remember “Good Job Brownie”.

I bet my bank account the White House and Team Obama is praying for this thing to strike La. so they can do something drastic and heroic to save the day. Besides...Team Obama and Congress brought all the oil execs up in front of the cameras and killed them...not to mention all of the checks that have been written by BP and the endless commercials saying sorry to this day.

If Issa hits New Orleans and other gulf coast states will he still blame it on Bush?

The media will praise him for days no matter what happens if they can just get ‘Katrina’ in the story.

Darn, I was hoping it would head this way...

DO NOT like this. Likely to be a hurricane possibly major at landfall with a ripe environment in the Gulf. Anywhere near NOLA will be bad as well with Bush comparisons. Looking like Obama may get a bump from the GOP convention. Damn it!

You mean the New Orleans we sank billions of dollars into to rebuld, the one which lost like 150,000 in population?

I can guarantee you, most people don't care.

I have been saying this on other threads...this is a F’ing Obama wet dream storm. We should win this election, but we now probably lost.

Up until Katrina, it was never a federal obligation or expectation to take the lead in rendering aid after natural disasters (the unexpected.)
For every other state, the old rules apply. State disasters are a state's obligation to prepare for, and to take the lead in rescue, shelter and cleanup.

Hard to remember that it took the most corrupt and clueless state to change the rules of the game for every other state --- for the worse.

Not having to exercise prudence, to budget for the unexpected, has empowered irresponsible states, like California, to spend into oblivion, and to pretend national disasters no longer exist.

Remarkably, a growing army of parasites and morons think this is a good thing.

A couple of things to remember. First, the certainty associated with these models is pretty low, and a more eastern track is as likely as a western one; this storm is a likely to hit Pensacola as it is to hit New Orleans. Secondly, Issac is no Katrina - it will be a much weaker storm.
