There is a reason the McCaskill/Democratic Party machine pumped 2 million bucks into the GOP primary to get Akin as their opponent. They knew this guy would implode, and sure enough he did in grand fashion.

Claire McCackle spent $1.5 million of her campaign money endorsing Akin. Her acolytes voted for akin in the open primary in Missouri.

Now we're stuck on stupid and the state of Missouri senate seat and the White House could be lost as a result.
