Be nice if the Conservative movement would quit obsessing over this Democrat orchestrated distraction and get back on message
He told a local television station that he didn't want to give his thoughts on Akin's specific remark because he hadn't heard it in context, but attacked those who were blasting Akin as focused on "petty personal attacks."This is good. What class! He doesn't want to change direction of the subject at hand by putting out the perfect explanation. AND, more to the point possibly, I've yet to hear a male politician do so, BECAUSE there is so much flaming PRESSURE on him to dot every i and cross every t. Thank you Congressman King!!!!!!!
There’s no doubt that Todd Akin is a strong conservative Christian.
But that’s really not the point. Akin’s an idiot for making what are indefensible comments.

What I find interesting is how many “conservative” FReepers have screamed for Akin’s head while either rushing to Scott Brown’s defense or ignored his call for the GOP to be more inclusive of the “good” pro abortionists.

The Akin non-controversy will flame out soon in Missouri and he will win.
Okay, I have to admit that I had been joining the chorus of those saying Akin should withdraw, but I’m starting to reconsider that now. Hopefully, Akin (and everyone for that matter) can move the discussion off this issue and back onto the genuinely important issues of this election cycle.
