that was the very first episode I ever saw of that show, ending with Angus Podgorny playing in the Wimbledon finals against a blancmange. I was hooked for life from that moment on, even though I had no idea at the age of 11 what a blancmange even was.
On a side note, everyone knows we Scots are part neanderthals, onnaccountof our red hair!

I think “What....Mr Llewellyn?” is one of the funniest lines ever spoken on television. I’m still laughing at that one 37 years later.

That was the same one for me! What was that, the summer of 1972 or 1973?
Not only was it hilarious in its juxtaposition of bizarre images, it was so utterly British! I must admit that at that time I, too, had no idea what a blanc-mange was, but gathered it was some kind of dessert when all the proper English matrons ran it onto the field and subdued it with spoons.
