What Is Going On ... Reading a Lot About ...

Posted on 08/16/2012 6:27:13 AM PDT by Why So Serious

The Department of Homeland Security purchased 450 million rounds of ammunition followed by the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration buying 46,000 wounds. This is now being followed by the Social Security Administration buying 174,000 rounds to be delivered to 41 locations around the country. What is this all about?

I think the answer could be a lot more pedestrian than the conclusions some people are jumping too. After all, there is a shortage on various types of ammo, mainly because the public has been stocking up ever since OBungle got elected.

See post 35. And no, it is not ok for bureaucrat bench sitters to have these kinds of bullets if the plan is to turn them on innocent Americans. I understand the tendency to try and explain this all away or to concoct wild conspiracy theories like Alex Jones, but when Matk Levin even questions it like he did last night...you have to sit up and take notice.

The fact that no conservative reps are questioning this also is reason for concern. What do they know that we all should know?

“it is not ok for bureaucrat bench sitters to have these kinds of bullets”

But the SSA OIC and NOAA Fisheries are cops, not bench sitters. Likewise DHS Customs and Borders, Federal Protective Agency, Secret Service, Border Patrol and all the other Fed armed cops.

This should be looked into, for sure, since nobody can find historical evidence that this is normal purchasing behaviour- you’d find contracts awarded for ammo in previous years, for instance, and I don’t think anyone’s found that.

Being picky- they are not bullets they are rounds of ammunition. Bullets are what flies out, the projectiles.

Yes, NOAA and other departments do have armed agents. Some gov’t agents do come in contact with highly agitated (read: felony-in-progress) people on a predictable basis, and just like you may wish to go about armed lest you be attacked, so would they. Most of these acronymed agencies are larger than we think, and include some odd “nowhere else to put ‘em” jobs, such as NOAA’s Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement. Given that being armed is reasonable, then so is practice which should entail something on the order of 2000 rounds per year per agent. In NOAA’s case, 46,000 rounds gets divvied up among 134 agents, making the total quite reasonable (if not paltry).

I’m concluding much of the purchases amounts to normal end-of-fiscial-year activities which we just now found out about.
It’s the rest of those purchases that raise an eyebrow...

Practice with what you carry.

Carry the best, your life depends on it.
Yes, practice gets expensive.

There are plenty of conclusions one can draw from the federal government's various unconstitutional alphabet agencies purchasing what looks like huge amounts of ammunition. It could certainly be a routine matter.

However, these are not routine times and, when something like this does occur, one has to look at the big picture.

Starting at the top, we have a marxist in the White House. Pure and simple, that's what we have. He is a marxist and he hates this nation. There can be no other conclusion based on the evidence we have.

He has grown government, and government intrusion into our lives, to frightening dimensions.

His regime has targeted not illegal immigrants, nor foreign dissidents, but the American people, specifically anyone who opposes his marxist policies and returning veterans, as the most likely source of terrorism, murder, and mayhem.

This regime is actively trying to undermine our national sovereignty and our own unalienable rights, to replace both with whatever the UN deigns to grant us.

His regime has molested and humiliated our children, wives, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, et al, at our airports, in public, and with almost no repercussions. These violations of our persons have produced not one terror suspect.

This regime and their banking enablers have looted our once-great nation until it is a shadow of its former glory. Neatly one third of our population is on some sort of public aid, due in large part to this marxist regime's policies. And that's where they want people--on the dole.

This is just a small sampling of the many, many examples of egregious evil and malice perpetrated by this regime.

And people have reacted. People have begun prepping like never before because this regime is harmful to our nation and our persons like none before. I hear the grumbling at the gas pump, at the supermarket, at the bar. There is an undercurrent of immense anger toward this regime. It would not take much to spark something more from that anger.

Now, our government, whatever else they may be, are not stupid. We'd like to believe they are, but it just is not so (excepting perhaps Joe Biden). They, too, have begun preparing like never before. They know their policies are unconstitutional. They know the people are fed up with their bullsh1t. In short, they see the writing on the wall.

I've been around the world and seen a lot of things. Twenty years in the Army as a combat soldier tends to give one perspective. My perspective is that we are seeing the beginnings of a conflict the likes of which this nation has seen only once before, back around 1861. Once again, it appears that the aggressor will be the federal government.
